Eli Manning Quarterback Dinner Reservation Request

NEW YORK, NY — Veteran quarterback Eli Manning recently shared a surprising story about a dinner reservation request from rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Dart, drafted by the New York Giants in April, reached out to Manning for assistance. Manning, who had told Dart he could call anytime for guidance, expected questions about football. Instead, Dart asked for help booking a table at 4 Charles Prime Rib, a high-end steakhouse in Manhattan.

On a recent episode of “The Schrager Hour,” Manning recounted the request. Dart wanted, “Can you get me a reservation at 4 Charles tonight at 6:30?” Manning’s initial response was one of disbelief, saying, “No no no, that’s not part of the deal. … I’m not your reservations guy.”

When the Giants drafted Dart with the 25th overall pick, they were impressed by his college career at Ole Miss, Manning’s alma mater. During training camp, Dart competed with veteran quarterback Jameis Winston and became Russell Wilson’s primary backup.

In his first NFL game, Dart played briefly in an overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys, taking three snaps and losing three yards on his only rush.

The Giants are struggling at the start of the 2025 NFL season, sitting at 0–2 after losses to Washington and Dallas. They have lost 16 of their last 17 matchups against Dallas. Now, they are preparing to face the Kansas City Chiefs, who are also 0–2 this season.

The Week 3 matchup will take place at MetLife Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 PM ET on NBC. Historically, the Giants have a strong home record against the Chiefs, winning all seven previous home games against them.
