Ryan Reynolds Curses at Blake Lively During Bill Murray Call

Newark, New Jersey – Ryan Reynolds made headlines after sharing a story about an F-bomb directed at his wife, Blake Lively, when he received a call from Bill Murray. The incident occurred during a promotional appearance for his new documentary, “John Candy: I Like Me,” on Thursday.
Reynolds, 48, described his tenacious efforts to get in touch with Murray, recalling that he left approximately 40 messages. He finally obtained Murray’s phone number through a “friend of a friend of a friend” and reached out, hoping for an opportunity to discuss the life of comedian John Candy.
“I’ll come to you. I’ll do whatever it takes,” Reynolds recalled promising in his voicemail.
While Reynolds was out with Lively, 38, and preparing to enter an event, his phone rang. He excitedly announced, “It says Bill Murray!” However, Lively urged him to go inside, to which Reynolds responded with an expletive, saying, “F–k you!”
Eventually, Murray replied, saying he would consider involvement in the documentary. Reynolds humorously admitted to leaving another 40 messages in desperation to wrap up filming.
To change his strategy, Reynolds recorded a video message with his children, having his son make the request to Murray. “If you say no to a child like that, I don’t know what kind of monster you are,” he joked. This tactic proved successful, as Murray called back almost immediately, asking, “What do you need from me for JC [John Candy]?”
Reynolds and Lively, who married in 2012, share four children: James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2, and are known for their playful public interactions.
