Mira Sorvino Charlie Sheen Drug Proposal

NEW YORK, NY — Mira Sorvino shared memories of her tumultuous friendship with Charlie Sheen during a recent interview while promoting her Broadway debut.

The actress recalled a particular incident where Sheen proposed to her while he was under the influence of drugs. “He asked to marry me in the car,” she said. “When I said, ‘Not like this,’ he responded, ‘OK, can I light up then?’ He had a crack pipe with him, and I was like, ‘No.’”

Sorvino, who is 58 years old, reflected on her attempts to help Sheen during his struggles. She mentioned following him as he “disappeared into rooms for two hours at a time,” trying to persuade him to seek help.

The actress pointed out how their experiences differ from Sheen’s recent memoir, where he mentioned an encounter with her at guitarist Slash‘s home back in 1998. According to Sheen, Sorvino allegedly told him she would sleep with him in exchange for going to rehab. Sorvino laughed at the claim and insisted it didn’t happen that way. “I would beg to differ,” she said. “I did not say I would sleep with Charlie. Our fathers were dear friends, and I was fond of him.”

When asked for his perspective, Sheen’s publicist had no comment.

Currently, Sorvino is starring as Roxie Hart in the Broadway production of “Chicago.” She described her experience on stage as “wonderful” and “intense.” She said, “I love playing Roxie. She’s an amazing character. I see her more innocent and vulnerable than she has been played before.”

Sorvino also mentioned the challenges of performing five shows a week, saying that sometimes her legs feel like “jelly” before a show.

In addition to her Broadway role, she is set to appear on the Fox celebrity version of “Name That Tune” on Monday, where she will be supporting a cause close to her heart related to human trafficking. “My life changed because I talked to these women who had been trafficked, and I could not look away,” she commented on the experience.
