Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuations at Towson University on Tuesday
TOWSON, MD. (WBFF) — A bomb threat at Towson University on Tuesday led to the evacuation of the University Union Building.
The Towson University Office of Public Safety reported receiving the threat and instructed students to leave the building immediately, advising them to stay at least 500 feet away. A message from the university emphasized, “This is not a drill.”
In addition to evacuating students, the university urged anyone not on campus to remain away until officials could provide an “all clear” message.
The Towson University Office of Public Safety is collaborating with Baltimore County Police to investigate the situation. As of now, no individuals have been reported injured, and there is no further information about the source of the threat.
The police have encouraged anyone with details regarding the incident to reach out to the University Police Department at 410-704-4444.
