Jannik Sinner Reaches ATP 500 Final in Beijing

MILAN, Italy — Jannik Sinner overcame cramps in the third set to defeat Alex De Minaur, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2, in the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing on September 30, 2025. The win secures Sinner a spot in his eighth final of the season and the thirtieth of his career.
The final is set for 2 p.m. local time in Beijing, which is 8 a.m. in Italy. Sinner will face 19-year-old American Learner Tien, who advanced after Daniil Medvedev retired during the third set while leading the match 7-5, 5-3. Tien had previously defeated Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinals following Musetti’s retirement.
Sinner is now one of only two players, alongside Novak Djokovic (2012-2015), to reach three consecutive finals in Beijing. He previously won the title in 2023 and lost to Carlos Alcaraz in 2024. This year, Sinner has made it to the finals in seven out of the eight tournaments he has participated in, clinching titles at both the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
The final match will be broadcast live on Sky Sport Uno and streamed on Now. Additionally, fans can access live text coverage on Gazzetta.it.
