NEW YORK, NY — Social media influencer Trisha Paytas will star as Maxine Dean in the Broadway musical Beetlejuice from November 4 to November 23. This limited engagement marks the musical’s return to the Palace Theatre, where it began performances on October 8.

Paytas, known for her confessional-style content on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, will temporarily take over a portion of the role from actress Sharone Sayegh. Sayegh will continue to portray Juno during Paytas’s run and will return to the dual role of Maxine Dean and Juno on November 25.

The character Maxine Dean is the wife of Maxie Dean, Chairman of Botco Industries, and has a minor but pivotal part in the show’s plot. Beetlejuice, adapted from the 1988 Tim Burton film, follows a ghost teaming up with a recently deceased couple and a goth teenager.

Paytas has built a significant online presence, amassing 1.9 million followers on Instagram and over 10.9 million on TikTok. While her career has been marked by controversy, she remains a popular figure, known for her diverse range of content from lifestyle vlogs to podcasts.

Beetlejuice features a cast that includes Justin Collette as Beetlejuice, Isabella Esler as Lydia, and Megan McGinnis as Barbara, among others. The musical is produced by Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and features a creative team that includes director Alex Timbers and choreographer Connor Gallagher.

The current run at the Palace Theatre is part of the show’s third engagement on Broadway and will continue through January 3, 2026. The production has received acclaim, previously earning eight Tony Award nominations in its original Broadway run in 2019.

Tickets are available now for theatergoers wanting to experience this unique Broadway adaptation.
