Weather Changes Ahead: Humidity and Showers Expected this Weekend
MIAMI, FL — Saturday’s weather in Florida was beautiful, featuring warm temperatures and clear skies. However, meteorologists are predicting a shift for Sunday as humidity increases, leading to showers across the state.
During the morning hours, the Florida Keys are expected to see on-and-off showers, while Dade and Broward counties may experience scattered storms in the afternoon. Forecasts indicate a 40% chance of rain for the northern parts of the state on Sunday, with highs reaching around 87°F.
“It’s still a decent day to be outside, even with the rain,” said a weather spokesperson. “But that humidity will return with a vengeance.”
Additionally, Sunday marks the arrival of the next round of King Tides, which will lead to increased Sunny-Day Flooding through Thursday.
Meanwhile, in the Tropics, weather models are monitoring tropical wave AL-98. While predictions show moisture moving into the Caribbean, the models differ on development potential. The European Model indicates moisture without significant development, while the GFS Model suggests two areas in the Caribbean could see development. None forecast anything heading toward South Florida in the week ahead.
Tonight, temperatures are projected to drop to around 75°F, with partly cloudy skies and a 20% chance of rain for the Keys by sunrise.
For Monday, temperatures will remain steady around 87°F with a 30% chance of scattered storms. Tuesday is expected to follow a similar pattern, maintaining the 30% chance of rain.
