Mirassol Fc Stadium Match

Mirassol, SP — Mirassol and São Paulo will clash this Sunday at 6:30 PM (Brasília time) at the Estádio José Maria de Campos Maia, also known as Maião. This matchup is part of the 29th round of Brazil’s Serie A.

Mirassol is currently riding high with two consecutive victories against Fluminense and Internacional, and they secured a 3-1 win over the Colorado in their last match. With 49 points, the Leão sits in fourth place, creating a six-point gap above Botafogo and Bahia in fifth and sixth places, respectively.

On the other hand, São Paulo is in a challenging phase, having lost seven of their last ten games, including a quarterfinal elimination in the Libertadores. They recently suffered defeats to Cruzeiro, Santos, Ceará, Palmeiras, and Grêmio, resulting in their current eighth-place position with 38 points.

Coach Rafael Guanaes will need to make at least three changes to the lineup that defeated Internacional. Midfielder Gabriel is sidelined with a muscle injury, and forward Negueba will miss the game due to suspension after receiving his third yellow card. José Aldo is expected to fill Gabriel’s role, while Cristian will likely take Negueba’s spot.

Good news for Mirassol comes with the return of goalkeeper Walter, who was suspended during the previous match. The expected squad is Walter; Daniel Borges, João Victor, Jemmes, and Reinaldo; Neto Moura, Danielzinho, José Aldo (Carlos Eduardo), and Guilherme Marques; Alesson and Cristian.

São Paulo’s coach Hernán Crespo faces a long list of absentees as they’ve struggled with injuries. The team recently lost left-back Wendell due to a partial rupture of the plantar fascia in his left foot, with no expected return until 2026. Midfielder Bobadilla, however, is back after international duty with Paraguay.

The anticipated lineup for São Paulo includes Rafael; Alan Franco, Arboleda, and Ferraresi; Maílton, Bobadilla, Marcos Antônio, Rodriguinho, and Enzo Díaz (Patrick Lanza); Tapia and Luciano.

Referee Matheus Delgado Candançan will officiate the match. Mirassol appears slightly favored in this clash, given their appealing form and home advantage.
