Eva Mendes Denies Moving to London with Ryan Gosling

LOS ANGELES, CA — Eva Mendes is setting the record straight about rumors suggesting she and her longtime partner Ryan Gosling have moved to London. The speculation arose after the Daily Mail reported that the couple purchased a home in Hampstead, North London, and that their daughters, Esmeralda and Amada, were attending school in the U.K. capital.

On November 3, Mendes addressed the rumors in her Instagram Stories. “WRONG again @dailymail,” she wrote over a screenshot of the article. “Although I love my time in London, I can’t wait to get back home and celebrate the @dodgers World Series championship!” The actress, 51, enthusiastically added, “Go Dodgers!!!”

While Mendes confirmed that the couple has not left Los Angeles, she has candidly discussed her complicated relationship with acting. In a recent interview, she stated, “I was never in love with acting. I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress. I had my moments when I worked with really great people.”

The Cuban-American actress spoke about the challenges of being typecast in Hollywood. She shared, “There were some pretty s–tty roles. That’s all they would say at the beginning — ‘she’s too ethnic for this, too ethnic for that.’ It was so crazy. That was the constant note.”

Mendes has expressed that her Hollywood lifestyle didn’t align with her well-being. “I feel like with my kind of spirit I’d have found unhealthy behaviors anywhere,” she explained. “I was so hungry for life. I still am. But I was leaving no stone unturned. I was like, ‘What’s over here? What’s over here?’”

Despite her challenges, Mendes is open to the idea of returning to acting, especially if it means working with Gosling again. The pair met while filming 2012’s “The Place Beyond The Pines.” “That’s the one thing I would love to do,” Mendes shared. “He gets something out of me that’s never been accessible before.”
