AAP Candidate Mohindar Bhagat Wins Jalandhar West By-Election with 37,325 Votes
In the Jalandhar West by-election that ensued after the resignation of Shital Angural, the seat was left vacant. The BJP nominated Angural as their candidate for the by-election. The vote counting began at 8 AM, and by noon, the complete results were clear.
The AAP candidate Mohindar Bhagat emerged victorious in the by-election with 37,325 votes. The BJP secured the second position, while the Congress stood third in the race.
MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair thanked all the residents of Jalandhar West for their overwhelming support towards the AAP candidate Mohindar Bhagat’s victory. He attributed this win to the policies of the state government that focused on the welfare of the people.
After eleven rounds of voting, Mohindar Bhagat gained 50,732 votes. Sheetal Angural from the BJP was in the second position while Surinder Kaur from the Congress was in the third.
Harpal Singh Cheema, a Punjab minister, expressed his gratitude to the people for their support. He expressed confidence in maintaining a significant lead on this seat. He stated that the people are with AAP, and they are working in the interest and favor of the people of Punjab.
