AAP’s Mohindar Bhagat Emerges Victorious in Jalandhar West By-poll
The by-election in Jalandhar West constituency saw a clear win for the Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Mohindar Bhagat, grabbing 37,325 votes to clinch the victory.
Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, AAP MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair thanked all the residents of Jalandhar West for their trust in the party. He credited the win to the policies catering to the welfare of the people under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Maan.
Mohindar Bhagat’s family and AAP workers came together to celebrate the decisive victory with enthusiasm.
With 37,325 votes in his favor, AAP candidate Mohindar Bhagat secured the top spot in the by-poll, leaving Sheetal Angural of BJP in the second place and the Congress candidate in third.
Lauding the people of Jalandhar West for the massive support, Punjab Minister Harpal Singh Cheema stated his confidence in maintaining the lead on this seat with a significant margin. He also criticized the Congress for its mistakes, including the imposition of Emergency in 1975, cautioning BJP against similar attempts to amend the constitution.
