ABC Renews ‘The Bachelor’ for Milestone 30th Season with New Showrunner

LOS ANGELES, CA — ABC has officially renewed the long-running reality series ‘The Bachelor‘ for its 30th season, with the announcement coming on June 30, 2025. The network has appointed Scott Teti as the new executive producer and showrunner, succeeding Claire Freeland and Bennett Graebner, who left amid allegations of a toxic workplace.
Teti is currently the showrunner for ‘Bachelor in Paradise,’ which is set to premiere its 10th season on July 7, 2025. His appointment to lead ‘The Bachelor’ comes just three and a half months after the previous showrunners’ departure, leaving fans eager to see how the franchise will evolve under Teti’s leadership.
“With Scott’s experience and fresh perspective, we believe he will bring exciting new elements to the show,” an ABC representative stated. ‘The Bachelor’ typically has a midseason premiere, and while a specific date has not been announced, fans can expect it to air in late January 2026.
Prior to his role in the ‘Bachelor’ franchise, Teti produced popular shows like ABC’s ‘Claim to Fame‘ and Bravo’s ‘Summer House.’ His rise within the franchise has been swift, considering he joined just in January 2025.
The uncertainty regarding ‘The Bachelor’ stemmed from ABC’s decision to skip ‘The Bachelorette’ this summer, breaking the show’s traditional release pattern. Despite the shake-up, the franchise’s popularity remains strong, and the return of ‘The Bachelor’ seems to reassure fans of its future.
Meanwhile, former Bachelor Grant Ellis, who led Season 29, has been in the news recently due to his split from Juliana Pasquarosa, which was announced just weeks after the show’s finale. Ellis expressed a desire to focus on himself during this transitional period.
With a new showrunner at the helm, Teti’s first challenge will be to maintain the legacy of the franchise while engaging a diverse audience, especially with the unique introduction of ‘Golden’ contestants in the upcoming seasons.
