Adelaide Cover Band A Global Sensation, Prepares for National Tour
An Adelaide-based cover band, The Hindley Street Country Club, has rapidly risen to global fame, garnering over half a billion views on YouTube and three quarters of a billion views across various social media platforms with their reimagined versions of classic hits.
The band’s founder, Constantine Delo, shared that even iconic artists like Mick Fleetwood and members of Kiss have shown admiration for their work, making the band’s success truly humbling.
Formed in November 2017 in Adelaide, the group initially came together to record covers of popular songs, leading to the creation of over 300 tracks from renowned artists such as Phil Collins, Barbra Streisand, and Fleetwood Mac.
Despite starting as a hobby project, The Hindley Street Country Club’s online popularity surged during the pandemic, prompting them to embark on their first full-scale national tour.
Backed by legendary promoter Michael Chugg, known for bringing top-tier acts like Elton John, Dolly Parton, and Madonna to Australia, the band is poised to make a significant impact in the music industry.
Chugg expressed awe at the band’s meteoric rise, noting the endorsements they’ve received from music legends like Mick Fleetwood, Christopher Cross, and Leo Sayer, who praised their renditions of the songs.
With international offers pouring in, including invitations to perform in Morocco and Brazil, The Hindley Street Country Club is on the brink of expanding their success to a global audience, potentially headlining major festivals worldwide.
