Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium Vehicle Crime Safety

LAS VEGAS, Nevada — A recent study using FBI vehicle crime data has named Allegiant Stadium the least safe place to park on NFL game days. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department recorded 8,482 motor vehicle crimes during the last NFL season, translating to 444 incidents per 10,000 residents in Paradise, Nevada.

Among those reports, authorities noted 4,595 vehicle thefts, 3,414 thefts from vehicles, and 473 thefts of vehicle parts or accessories. Houston‘s NRG Stadium, while having the highest total of 23,939 vehicle crimes, had a lower ratio of incidents due to its larger population, at roughly 100 incidents per 10,000 residents.

In stark contrast, Foxborough, Massachusetts, home to the New England Patriots, recorded only eight vehicle crimes, equating to four per 10,000 residents, making it the safest location for NFL parking. Other stadiums, such as Highmark Stadium in Buffalo and MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, also ranked high in safety with minimal incidents reported.

A Wheelsaway spokesperson emphasized the importance of parking in secure, well-lit areas. They advised using steering wheel locks and GPS trackers to mitigate the risk of vehicle theft. The spokesperson stated, “Taking these precautions can significantly enhance the security of your vehicle while enjoying the game.”
