Amanda Bynes Ozempic Weight Loss Update

New York, NY – Former child actress Amanda Bynes updated her fans on social media about her weight loss journey, revealing she has lost 20 pounds while taking Ozempic. The announcement came on November 5, 2025. Bynes, 39, detailed her goal to lose a total of 50 pounds.

Bynes first shared her decision to use Ozempic in June, a medication often prescribed for type 2 diabetes that has gained popularity for weight loss. At that time, she expressed her desire to improve her appearance in paparazzi photographs. ‘Oh, I’m going on Ozempic. So excited. I’m 173 now, so I hope to get down to like 130, which would be awesome,’ she remarked.

In a rare video posted on November 5, Bynes reflected on her progress with the medication. ‘I wanted to make a quick post to give a quick update on my Ozempic journey,’ she said. ‘I’ve lost 20 pounds so far. I’m so excited about that to be honest.’ Despite her achievement, she noted her journey is not over, stating, ‘I want to lose about 15 more pounds.’

Bynes explained that she has tried both oral and injectable forms of the medication, which led to fluctuations in her weight. ‘I’m 163 now. I actually shot up on the Ozempic pill to 180 from 173, but I lost 20 pounds from 180, and now I’m down to 163 on the Ozempic injection,’ she shared. ‘So, I’m really glad that I’m on the injection; it’s really working for me.’

She further expressed her motivation to continue, saying, ‘I’m trying to lose more weight just to feel skinny and cute, so I will keep taking Ozempic.’

In recent years, Bynes has faced her share of challenges, including a public mental health crisis in 2013. She has since made significant changes in her life, including altering her appearance with various hairstyles and cosmetic procedures.

In August, she showcased her recently enhanced lips, and in December 2023, she underwent a blepharoplasty to remove excess skin around her eyelids. ‘It was one of the best things I could’ve ever done for my self-confidence, and it made me feel a lot better in my skin,’ she commented on the procedure.
