Amazon Play Yard Recall Safety Hazard

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a recall on November 20, 2025, affecting children’s play yards sold by Anna Queen on Amazon. The recall results from safety violations that pose serious risks of suffocation and entrapment hazards for infants.

The recalled play yards, which were sold beginning in March 2025 for approximately $100, were found to allow infants to become trapped beneath the mattress pad or between the mattress and the sides of the play yard. This poses a grave risk of suffocation and serious injury.

CPSC detailed that around 70 units of the play yards are included in the recall. While no incidents or injuries have been reported yet, the agency urges parents and caregivers to stop using the products immediately due to the serious nature of the hazards.

The recalled items feature black fabric sides, gray mesh panels, and white top rails adorned with colorful bear motifs. The mattress included has the same bear-print pattern. The model number is “P700,” with a production date of “202503” printed on packaging and removable tags.

Consumers are instructed to disassemble the product, cut the fabric cover and mattress pad, and send a photograph of the destroyed play yard to Anna Queen to receive a full refund.

The CPSC emphasized that play yards are designed as safe spaces for infants but noted that defects can create dangerous gaps or soft surfaces that may trap a child’s body or face.

Parents concerned about the safety of their children are encouraged to contact CPSC for more information about the recall and reports related to any harm experienced with these products.
