American Pundit Tucker Carlson To Interview Russian President Vladimir Putin In Moscow

American commentator and former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has announced that he will soon be conducting an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. This will mark the first one-on-one meeting between Putin and a Western journalist since the beginning of Russia‘s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The Kremlin has not yet commented on the upcoming interview.

In a video statement posted on X, Carlson expressed his intention to conduct the interview, stating that Americans have the right to be fully informed about a war they are implicated in. Carlson emphasized that the mainstream media is not providing the necessary information on the conflict and blamed them for not challenging Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky during interviews. He accused these interviews of being “fawning pep sessions” and claimed they were propagating government propaganda.

Carlson further mentioned that he personally funded his visit to Russia and stressed the importance of informing the English-speaking populations about the ongoing war in Ukraine. He criticized Western media outlets for their alleged corruption and misinformation, stating that they manipulate the truth through omission. Carlson also accused Western governments of censoring content like his upcoming interview, while appreciating X owner Elon Musk‘s commitment not to suppress or block the content.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had devastating consequences, including widespread human rights violations. The United Nations has attributed atrocities such as rape, torture, and killings to Russian forces. Additionally, Russia has annexed several regions, including Crimea, and Putin himself is under investigation by the International Criminal Court for war crimes.

Carlson’s visit to Moscow has been closely monitored by Russian state media, with constant coverage of his activities. Since his arrival, Carlson has been spotted visiting various locations, including the Bolshoi Theater and even receiving invitations to the annexed Crimea. His presence has gained significant attention in Russian media, with over 2,000 mentions in state publications since January 29.

The exact date of the interview has not been disclosed, but Carlson assured that it would be uploaded live and unedited to his X account. This upcoming conversation will provide a rare opportunity for Western audiences to hear directly from Putin amidst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
