ANC MP Boy Mamabolo Denies Cheating Allegations During January 8 Celebrations
A video of ANC MP Jacob Boy Mamabolo kissing a woman during the party’s January 8 celebrations in Mbombela has caused a stir on social media. However, Mamabolo has denied the cheating allegations and defended the act as a friendly goodbye kiss to a comrade.
Mamabolo spoke to TimesLIVE, stating that he sees no issue with the kiss. He clarified that even his wife, Khomotso Malotane, was not bothered by the incident. Expressing his love for his wife, Mamabolo emphasized that he displays affection for her publicly on social media.
The viral video was labeled as a smear campaign against Mamabolo by members of the opposition. He dismissed the incident, stating that it was not comparable to cheating and that it was merely a friendly kiss with no tongues involved.
This is not the first time Mamabolo finds himself in the midst of controversy. In 2020, he engaged in a heated exchange with Julius Malema during the State of the Nation Address. Mamabolo accused Malema of being a wife beater, but later apologized and paid legal costs after Malema sued him.
The woman seen kissing Mamabolo in the video has a significant following on TikTok; however, she has not commented on the allegations on her page.
