Apple TV+ Reveals Season 5 of ‘Slow Horses’ Starring Gary Oldman

CULVER CITY, Calif. — Apple TV+ announced today the premiere date and a first look at season five of its award-winning espionage drama, “Slow Horses,” starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman. The new season will be available globally on September 24, 2025, with two episodes released initially, followed by weekly episodes until October 22.
“Slow Horses” follows a dysfunctional group of British intelligence agents working in a department of MI5 known as Slough House, which is seen as a dumping ground for spies whose careers have faltered. Oldman portrays Jackson Lamb, the grumpy yet brilliant leader of this motley crew who navigates the murky waters of the intelligence world.
The storyline for season five centers on tech expert Roddy Ho, who surprises everyone by appearing with a glamorous new girlfriend. As strange occurrences unfold throughout London, the Slow Horses must connect the dots and discover the truth. Lamb emphasizes that in espionage, the London Rules — always watch your back — are crucial.
The ensemble cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke, and Jonathan Pryce. Additionally, “Ted Lasso” star Nick Mohammed will join the cast as a special guest star.

Produced by See-Saw Films and adapted for TV by Will Smith, the series is directed by Saul Metzstein, who previously earned an Emmy nomination for his work on the show. Following the success of past seasons, season six has already been announced, ensuring that the story of the Slow Horses will continue.
