Bansuri Swaraj, Sushma Swaraj's Daughter, To Contest Lok Sabha Elections From New Delhi Constituency

Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of the late Sushma Swaraj, is set to make her political debut in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced her candidacy for the New Delhi Lok Sabha seat from their first list of 195 candidates for the elections.

An advocate with over 15 years of experience in the legal profession, Bansuri Swaraj holds degrees from prestigious universities like the University of Warwick, BPP Law School in London, and the University of Oxford. She has represented high-profile clients in various legal matters and served as the Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana.

Recently appointed as the co-convenor of the BJP Delhi’s legal cell, Bansuri Swaraj expressed her gratitude and determination to work towards the party’s success in the upcoming elections. She credits figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for the opportunity.

Bansuri Swaraj has been critical of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi, particularly targeting Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. She firmly stated that her party will not need Kejriwal and dismissed his claims of pressure to join the BJP.

Reflecting on her mother, Sushma Swaraj, Bansuri described her as an inspiration and guiding light. She emphasized her commitment to her role as co-convenor of the BJP Delhi Legal Cell and her dedication to serving the party to fulfill its electoral goals.
