BBC Livestreams Glastonbury Headliners Dua Lipa and Coldplay Globally for the First Time

For the first time, the BBC will be live broadcasting headline performances from the iconic Glastonbury Festival to a global audience. Dua Lipa and Coldplay‘s sets on the Pyramid Stage in 2024 will be available for fans worldwide to enjoy on the newly relaunched BBC.com.

Music enthusiasts everywhere can tune in to the livestream, produced by BBC Studios, to catch Dua Lipa’s headline performance on Friday, June 28, followed by Coldplay’s headline set on Saturday, June 29. The timings for the livestream are aligned with Eastern Standard Time and Central European Summer Time.

Tara Maitra, the Chief Commercial Officer at BBC Studios, expressed excitement about this development, highlighting the opportunity to bring the magic of Glastonbury to a global audience. Lorna Clarke, the BBC Director of Music, also emphasized the goal of uniting music fans worldwide through this unique digital experience.

Seven-time BRIT and three-time GRAMMY Award winner Dua Lipa is set to make her debut appearance on the renowned Pyramid Stage, while the British band Coldplay, also a seven-time GRAMMY Award winning group, will be headlining Glastonbury for the fifth time, returning after their last performance in 2016.

The BBC has been a consistent broadcaster of the Glastonbury Festival in the UK since 1997 and will be offering extensive coverage in 2024, including performances from Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA on the main stages. With over 90 hours of live music on BBC iPlayer, radio program broadcasts, and television coverage, the BBC is gearing up for a six-week celebration of Glastonbury.
