Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Reunite for ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ Premiere

NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2025 — Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reunited Monday night at the premiere of their new film, ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman,’ held in New York City. This marks their first public appearance together since their divorce in August 2024.

At the event, Lopez, 56, stars as Ingrid Luna in the musical film, while Affleck, 53, served as an executive producer through his production company, Artists Equity. The former couple posed together on the red carpet, celebrating their collaboration.

Lopez wore a stunning sculptural gown from Harris Reed‘s spring 2026 collection. During her introduction of the film, she expressed gratitude to Affleck for his role in its production. “Thank you, Ben, this movie wouldn’t have been made without Ben and without Artists Equity,” she said.

Affleck praised her performance, calling the film “exquisite” and Lopez “incredible.” He emphasized the goal of Artists Equity to empower storytellers, highlighting the film’s creative team and its themes of connection.

Before the premiere, Lopez spoke candidly about the challenges she faced while filming amid personal struggles. “It was a really tough time,” she admitted, explaining how the project provided her a means of escapism.

The musical is a reimagining of the 1993 Broadway production, based on the 1976 novel by Manuel Puig, and features a plot where a political prisoner forms a bond with a fellow inmate through stories of Hollywood musicals.

‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’ is set to hit theaters on Oct. 10, providing audiences with a fusion of nostalgic storytelling and contemporary artistry.
