Billboard Hot 100 Chart

In a remarkable feat, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” has maintained its position at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a 13th consecutive week. This prolongs its status as the longest-reigning hit of 2024 and marks the third-longest duration at No. 1 this decade. The song, a major hit in both country and pop radio formats, achieved 76 million airplay audience impressions according to Luminate, the data provider for Billboard charts. This success positions the artist as a strong contender for Grammy nominations in 2025, potentially in the best new artist and record of the year categories.

Meanwhile, Billie Eilish‘s “Birds of a Feather” ascended to a new peak at No. 2, with its official video release spurring a 16% increase in streams, totaling 24.2 million, as well as a 30% rise in sales, reaching 5,000 copies for the week ending October 3. The song also registered a 52.2 million airplay audience, maintaining its foothold on the charts.

In an impressive debut, “Timeless,” a collaborative track by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, entered the Hot 100 at No. 3. The song, which garnered 28.6 million streams, marks The Weeknd’s 19th top 10 hit and Playboi Carti’s fifth. This track also launched at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, showcasing the continued success of both artists.

Sabrina Carpenter continues to make chart history with three concurrent hits in the Hot 100’s top 10 for a sixth straight week. Her singles “Espresso,” “Taste,” and “Please Please Please” highlight her breakout year, all from her album “Short n' Sweet,” which returned to No. 1 on the album chart after brief interruptions from Travis Scott’s “Days Before Rodeo” and Future’s “Mixtape Pluto.”

Lady Gaga‘s contribution to the “Joker: Folie à Deux” soundtrack, titled “Harlequin,” made its debut at No. 20 on the Billboard 200. The album accompanies the film in which Gaga co-stars with Joaquin Phoenix. Her musical involvement is anticipated to coincide with further releases.

Other notable movements include Future’s “Mixtape Pluto” at No. 3 on the albums chart, while Post Malone‘s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, stepped back to fourth place on the Hot 100. Taylor Swift and Noah Kahan also maintain their positions within the top 10 of the albums chart.
