Blind Auditions Shine with Powerful Performances on The Voice Season 28

LOS ANGELES, CA — Episode 5 of Season 28 of The Voice showcased a lineup of talented singers as the coaches continued to build their teams. Niall Horan, Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg faced fierce competition during the Blind Auditions held on September 30, 2025.
Dustin Dale Gaspard opened the night with a powerful performance despite living in his car for the past two years. His singing drew chair turns from all four judges. Horan complimented Gaspard’s unique voice, while McEntire described him as “refreshing.” After an emotional moment, Gaspard chose Horan as his coach.
Next, Kanard Thomas auditioned after an unsuccessful attempt in Season 16. This time, his performance received turns from Horan and Snoop. Horan praised Thomas’s vocal explosion at the end, and Thomas ultimately selected Snoop as his coach.
Shan Scott captured McEntire’s attention with her performance of “Wish I Knew You,” turning her chair at the last moment. McEntire praised Scott’s raspy voice, emphasizing her excitement about coaching her.
Carly Harvey also impressed the judges, earning turns from both McEntire and Bublé. Bublé noted her “beautiful sound,” and Harvey chose him as her coach.
Colin Bracewell’s audition did not receive any chair turns, but the coaches encouraged him. Horan noted the difficulty of vocal transitions and urged him to return with a different song.
In a surprise, 14-year-old Vinya Chhabra dazzled the judges with her rendition of “Ironic,” earning turns from McEntire, Bublé, and Snoop. McEntire welcomed Chhabra to her team enthusiastically.
Conrad Khalil also received a one-chair turn from McEntire, and she expressed confidence in his potential. Liam Von Elbe, who previously worked as a tour audio engineer, wowed the coaches with his performance, and chose Horan as his coach after Snoop complimented his package deal.
Lauren Anderson captured Snoop’s attention at the last minute. She received high praise for her style, and Snoop claimed she was the missing puzzle piece to his team.
Ava Nat moved the audience when she sang about a personal loss. Her heartfelt performance garnered chair turns from Snoop, McEntire, and Horan, but she ultimately chose Horan as her coach.
The episode wrapped with Teo Ramdal’s sensual Spanish performance, earning turns from all four judges. Bublé humorously claimed he needed Ramdal on his team to keep his wife happy. In the end, Bublé added Ramdal to his roster.

Team Bublé includes Max Chambers, Jazz McKenzie, Lucas Beltran, Max Cooper III, Aarik Duncan, Rob Cole, Marty O’Reilly, Austin Gilbert, Carly Harvey, and Teo Ramdal. Snoop’s team has Mindy Miller, Ralph Edwards, Yoshihanaa, Sadie Dahl, Natalia Albertini, Toni Lorene, Kenny Iko, Lauren Anderson, and Kanard Thomas.
