Joe Biden Decline Book Alex Thompson

Washington, D.C. — Alex Thompson, co-author of a new book detailing former President Joe Biden‘s cognitive decline, revealed on Fox News that unelected aides in the White House admitted to engaging in “undemocratic things” to keep the president’s condition under wraps.

During an interview with Shannon Bream, Thompson discussed their book, co-authored with CNN’s Jake Tapper, which covers how top aides collaborated to hide Biden’s decline from the public and even some members of his cabinet. A passage in the book quotes an unnamed long-time aide revealing, “He just had to win, and then he could disappear for four years. He’d only have to show proof of life every once in a while… His aides could pick up the slack.”

Bream questioned, “Who would have been running the White House in a second Biden term?” Thompson responded that voters would be electing the aides surrounding Biden, emphasizing that these individuals were unconfirmed by the Senate and unelected.

According to Thompson, many in Biden’s circle believe that former President Donald Trump poses an existential threat to democracy. This belief has led them to rationalize their actions, even if it meant doing undemocratic things. He stated, “If you believe that, you can rationalize anything, including sometimes doing undemocratic things, which I think is what this person is talking about.”

In further discussions, Thompson highlighted that many cabinet members have reflected on their roles in covering up Biden’s health, sharing that they felt going public wouldn’t change his trajectory but would only aid Trump. “There was definitely a lot of self-reflection about what — if anything — they should have done differently,” he noted.

The book, titled “Original Sin,” has generated significant media attention for its revelations concerning the extent of Biden’s health issues and the measures taken by his team to maintain a facade of capability.
