Casio Crw 001 1jr Ring Watch

Casio has introduced the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch, a unique and functional wearable device, to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary. This innovative ring watch is set to launch in Japan in December 2024, priced at approximately $128 (¥19,800).

The CRW-001-1JR features a six-segment LCD screen that displays hours, minutes, seconds, and dates, along with dual time zone capabilities. It also includes a stopwatch, an auto calendar, and LED alerts that flash at each hour or at set times. However, it does not include an audible alarm to maintain its compact form.

Manufactured using a metal injection molding process, the ring is made of stainless steel and is waterproof. It weighs 16 grams, significantly heavier than other smart rings on the market, but this is due to its robust construction. The ring comes in a fixed US size 10.5 but includes spacers for adjustments down to sizes 9 and 8.

The battery life of the CRW-001-1JR is impressive, lasting up to two years before needing replacement. Users can visit Casio service centers for battery replacement. Unlike many modern smart rings, it does not include health monitoring features such as heart rate or oxygen level tracking, focusing instead on its core timekeeping functions.

For now, the Casio CRW-001-1JR is limited to release in Japan, with no immediate plans for an international launch. This quirky yet functional device is likely to appeal to Casio enthusiasts and those looking for a unique timepiece.
