Changes Ahead for Tracker as Bobby and Velma Exit

(Los Angeles, CA) – The popular drama ‘Tracker’ is set to return for its third season on Sunday, Oct. 19, but fans will notice the absence of two beloved characters: Bobby Exley and Velma Bruin. Showrunner Reid revealed that the characters’ departures will be explained in the new season.
Velma, portrayed by Abby McEnany, will be stepping away to reunite with her estranged wife, Teddy. Meanwhile, Bobby, played by an undisclosed actor, is taking advantage of a new opportunity, which leaves the door open for potential returns in the future, according to Reid.
With Bobby and Velma gone, Randy, who quickly became a favorite among fans after his introduction in Season 2, will be featured more prominently. Reid noted, ‘Bobby felt very nestled into his place, whereas Randy’s been casting about.’ He revealed that the storyline involving Reenie, another key character who experienced trauma last season, will incorporate Randy as a means to bolster her security.
Reid emphasized that the character changes should not be viewed as replacements. ‘We didn’t ‘replace’ Velma or Bobby. It’s about where I get the most creative juice,’ he said. He hinted at this being part of an ‘evil plan’ to enrich Reenie’s character and her surrounding world.
Another familiar face will also return to Reenie’s office later in the season, which promises to continue exploring the dynamics of the show’s key characters. ‘The more you can build out her world, the more the show benefits,’ Reid added.
The shifts in cast have sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some expressing disappointment over the departure of Bobby and Velma, and others feeling excitement for Randy’s expanded role.
