Chrissy Teigen John Legend La Wildfires Evacuation

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend evacuated their Beverly Hills home on Wednesday, Jan. 8, as wildfires ravaged parts of Los Angeles. The couple, along with their four children, four dogs, and a pet bearded dragon, sought refuge in a hotel as flames threatened their $17.5 million mansion.

Teigen, 39, shared updates on Instagram, expressing her fear and gratitude for first responders. “This is surreal. I’m very scared now. Packing,” she wrote alongside a selfie of herself packing belongings. The family, including children Luna, 8, Miles, 6, Esti, and Wren, both 1, left their home with their pets: dogs Petey, Penny, Pearl, and Pippa, as well as their bearded dragon, Sebastian.

In a video posted to Instagram, Teigen showed the family settled in a hotel room. “4 kids, 4 dogs, and a bearded dragon walk into a hotel,” she captioned the clip. The video also featured Legend, 46, lying on the bed with their dogs and Sebastian, whom Teigen jokingly reassured fans was safe. “We would never forget Sebastian, how dare you guys? He is with us,” she said.

The wildfires, fueled by strong winds and dry conditions, have displaced over 80,000 people in Los Angeles County. Four major fires, including the Palisades, Eaton, and Sunset fires, have burned over 27,000 acres with zero containment as of Wednesday.

Teigen praised firefighters and first responders, writing, “God bless the firefighters and all first responders.” She also expressed concern for others affected by the fires, saying, “We are ok as of right now, and I felt weird saying that with so many people we know and don’t who are not ok.”

The couple is among several celebrities forced to evacuate, including Mark Hamill, Mandy Moore, and Eugene Levy. The fires have caused widespread destruction, with authorities urging residents to remain vigilant as conditions remain unpredictable.
