CISF Constable Allegedly Slaps Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport Over Farmers’ Protest Remarks
Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut made headlines today after she reported an altercation with a female CISF security personnel at Mohali International Airport in Chandigarh. The incident allegedly transpired during a routine security check, leaving the newly-elected MP concerned about the “rising militancy and terrorism in Punjab.<
In a social media statement following the altercation, Kangana recounted the distressing encounter, expressing relief at her safety but voicing worry about the escalating regional security threats.
Reports suggest that a constable-ranking officer of the CISF purportedly struck Kangana during a dispute over frisking protocols at Chandigarh Airport. In response, a senior CISF committee has launched an inquiry into the incident to evaluate the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
In a subsequent video, the security personnel involved asserted that Kangana had allegedly made derogatory comments about women participating in the farmers’ protest, mentioning that her own mother was a part of the demonstrations.
The lady constable, during her interrogation, reportedly claimed that Kangana Ranaut had made disrespectful remarks about the women from Punjab involved in the farmers’ movement. Kangana has indicated her intention to file a formal complaint with the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding the incident.
Following the altercation, the CISF placed the female constable under suspension and lodged a formal complaint with the local law enforcement authorities in order to file an FIR pertaining to the incident.
In the recent Lok Sabha elections, Kangana Ranaut emerged as the victor from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh, securing a significant victory over her closest rival, Vikramaditya Singh, by a substantial margin.
