Coastal Carolina Halloween Game Day Atmosphere

CONWAY, S.C. (WPDE) — Coastal Carolina University (CCU) celebrated Halloween during its game against Marshall, creating a festive atmosphere that reflected the decorations around Conway. Many students and fans arrived in creative costumes, enhancing the excitement at Brooks Stadium.

Local radio host Jeff Benton attended his first game on the “Surf Turf” and described the event as a “family affair.” He noted the economic benefits of hosting such events in Conway. “Being a lifelong resident, being out here with so many people that you know. It’s a family affair. Kids are out here. They’re trick-or-treating, having a great time,” Benton said.

The Conway city council observed the lively scene, which included a special halftime performance by Medieval Times. CCU’s Halloween-themed game drew a large crowd, contributing to the local spirit and community engagement.
