Conor McGregor and Mike Perry Ignite Feud at BKFC 82 Press Conference

Newark, N.J. — A heated exchange between Conor McGregor and Mike Perry unfolded Thursday at the BKFC 82 pre-fight press conference. The two fighters clashed over Perry’s return to bare-knuckle boxing ahead of his match against Jeremy Stephens on Saturday at the Prudential Center.
McGregor, a UFC star and minority owner of BKFC, emphasized the stakes for Perry, stating, “If you don’t perform, you’re gone.” Perry, who holds the “King of Violence” title, is once again in the spotlight after a six-round knockout loss to Jake Paul in July 2024.
“We’ve got our ‘King of Violence’ world title on the line, and people are underrating him,” McGregor said. “He’s back with something to prove, but he must perform.” Perry responded by asserting his determination, claiming, “I’ve carried this whole sh*t on my back, and I’m going to have bigger and better things to do after Saturday.”
Amidst the back-and-forth, McGregor reminded Perry of his lack of championship status in BKFC. He stated, “You’re no world champion… You should be climbing for a world title in this organization.”
Perry rebutted, referencing his knockout victories over David Mundell, the current middleweight champion. “I mean, look, I’m gonna beat Jeremy’s ass on Saturday,” he concluded confidently.
As the conversation shifted to potential future matches, including a possible bout against Dillon Danis, McGregor interrupted, insisting that Perry’s next fight must be for the championship. “Your next fight has got to be for a world title,” he affirmed. “We built you, we can break you.”
With the pressure mounting, the fight is set as a key moment for Perry in his BKFC career. McGregor’s insistence on the importance of performance brings added tension leading into what promises to be an exciting event this Saturday.
