Konda Surekha Telangana Controversy

Tensions in Telangana politics have escalated following controversial remarks made by State Minister Konda Surekha. The minister has alleged that BRS workers have been trolling her on social media, stoking emotional responses from her party, the Congress, which has launched strong verbal attacks against BRS leaders and workers. However, these criticisms have crossed into personal matters, creating a storm in both political and entertainment circles.

Minister Konda Surekha recently accused BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, of being involved in the high-profile breakup between actor Naga Chaitanya and actress Samantha. Surekha has claimed that the BRS government, while avoiding the demolition of the N Convention Centre owned by actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, placed a condition related to Samantha’s marital status with Naga Chaitanya. This statement implied undue pressure on the Akkineni family, causing a significant stir.

In addition to these accusations, Surekha has alleged that KTR is responsible for influencing several actresses to marry quickly. She accused political leaders of tapping phones and introducing drugs, thereby allegedly ruining lives in the film industry. Surekha maintained that these revelations came to light during the ongoing Tollywood drugs and phone tapping cases.

Samantha, the actress at the center of these allegations, fired back at Konda Surekha’s remarks. She stated emphatically that her divorce is a personal matter and requested an end to speculations. Samantha asserted the mutual and amicable nature of her divorce with Naga Chaitanya, denying any political conspiracy behind it.

“It takes a lot of strength to stand up and fight as a woman,” Samantha said in response, underlining her pride in her journey. She urged public figures to speak responsibly and respect private matters. Her comments emphasize her disassociation from politics and her desire to keep her name out of political clashes.

Meanwhile, more reactions poured in from the film industry with actor Naga Chaitanya and Akkineni Amala, Nagarjuna’s wife, both condemning Surekha’s allegations. Amala expressed her outrage over what she termed “baseless claims” by a minister, which she found shameful and irresponsible. She called for political leaders to behave ethically and suggested that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should intervene to seek an apology from Konda Surekha.
