Texas Weather Forecast October 2025

San Antonio, Texas – A weak cool front swept through Texas bringing lower humidity levels for the night and into Thursday, according to KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist. However, forecasters warn that humidity will likely return by Thursday morning.

An upper-level disturbance over the Pacific is expected to increase rain chances in the region from Friday evening into Saturday morning. While most of Friday is projected to remain dry, rain and storms could start late Friday night. Some neighborhoods may receive between 1 to 3 inches of rain, although this amount is less likely to be the norm. Street flooding is a concern where the heaviest downpours occur.

“A lot can change between now and Friday, so check back for updates,” the meteorologist advised. The forecast calls for overnight lows in the low 50s with clear skies. Daytime highs are expected to reach around 80 degrees, but cloud cover will increase on Saturday, leading into breezy conditions.

By Sunday morning, rain chances rise to 80%, with significant rainfall expected throughout the day. The forecast predicts most areas will see at least an inch of rain with many experiencing stronger downpours.

In addition to the local rain events, meteorologists are keeping an eye on Tropical Storm Melissa in the central Caribbean Sea, which may develop into a major hurricane near Jamaica. This storm is not expected to impact Texas directly.

Weather conditions in Central Texas appear to remain dry but cooler temperatures may follow a second cold front scheduled to arrive next week. This is anticipated to bring a more seasonable weather pattern, possibly alleviating the ongoing drought conditions.
