Arlington, TX (July 2, 2025) – The Dallas Wings have signed forward Liatu King to a rest-of-season contract, the team announced today.

King, a 6-foot forward from Notre Dame, was drafted No. 28 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. She appeared in 12 games for the Sparks while on a hardship contract, averaging 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field. Her journey with the Sparks ended when she was released on June 28.

Before joining the Sparks, King played four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh from 2020 to 2024. She then transferred to Notre Dame for her graduate season. During her time with the Fighting Irish, King excelled, appearing in 33 games and averaging 11.5 points and a program-record 10.4 rebounds per game.

King stood out in her final season, ranking first in the ACC for defensive rebounds with 240 and fourth on Notre Dame’s single-season rebounds list with 342. She was a semifinalist for the 2024-25 Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award and received All-ACC Second Team and All-ACC Academic Team honors.

In her senior year with the Panthers, King averaged a double-double, achieving her career-best of 18.7 points and 10.3 rebounds in the 2023-24 season.

The Wings signed King to bolster their forward depth amid injury concerns for current players. As the team prepares to host the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday, King’s addition can add much-needed support. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 PM EST.
