Devara: Part 1 Box Office Report – Day 2 Performance
The highly anticipated Telugu movie, “Devara: Part 1,” featuring prominent actors Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, witnessed a considerable drop in its box office earnings on the second day of its release, garnering ₹40 crore in India. The film, directed by Koratala Siva, saw its highest earnings from the Telugu version, collecting ₹29.4 crore, while the Hindi version contributed ₹9 crore on Saturday.
On its debut, “Devara: Part 1” achieved a substantial net collection of ₹82.5 crore domestically, nearly double the following day’s collection. Over the two days, the film has accumulated a total of ₹122.5 crore across India. The movie has also achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing the ₹200 crore mark globally within these two days.
In terms of regional performance, “Devara: Part 1” found significant success. The Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam versions of the film earned ₹0.35 crore, ₹1 crore, and ₹0.25 crore, respectively, on the second day. In Hyderabad, the film enjoyed the highest occupancy at 80.25%, with night shows peaking at 94% occupancy.
“Devara: Part 1” also surpassed recent releases such as “Stree 2” and “Jawan” in initial box office momentum, with the latter previously holding the record for the biggest opening day in Hindi cinema. Despite a reduction in earnings on the second day, the movie maintained strong appeal, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions.
This film marks Jr NTR’s return to solo stardom after a six-year gap, following his last individual lead role in 2018 with “Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava.” His last cinematic appearance was in the critically acclaimed “RRR” with co-star Ram Charan. Expressing his gratitude, Jr NTR shared on social media: “The day I had been waiting for is finally here… Overwhelmed by your incredible reactions. Witnessing your celebrations for Devara makes me so elated. Forever indebted for your love.”
The film’s ensemble cast includes Saif Ali Khan as Bhaira, a wrestling champion, Janhvi Kapoor, Prakash Raj, and Srikanth Meka, among others. Set in a coastal milieu, the storyline revolves around power struggles and vendettas, with Jr NTR playing dual roles pivotal to the plot.
