Devin Booker Debuts Arizona-Inspired Nike Book 1 ‘Aspen Corner’
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker debuted the latest edition of his signature Nike Book 1 sneaker, the “Aspen Corner,” during Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards. The bright yellow colorway, inspired by the Aspen trees of Flagstaff, Arizona, marks the third installment in Booker’s Arizona-themed sneaker series.
The “Aspen Corner” design draws from the annual transformation of Flagstaff‘s Aspen trees, which turn vibrant yellow each fall. The shoe features a tongue label depicting the iconic Humphrey’s Peak, Arizona’s tallest mountain, set against a backdrop of golden foliage. The name pays homage to a popular hiking area in the region.
“I go up to Flag every time the leaves turn over and go check that out,” Booker said postgame. “Any bits of stories I can give to the fans or my people without just telling them or yelling in their face, I like to do it.”
The “Aspen Corner” is part of a series that includes the previously released “Sedona” and the upcoming “Flagstaff” editions. Each shoe is named after a location in Arizona’s high country, reflecting Booker’s connection to the state. The “Sedona” model, released on Jan. 1, retailed for $140, while the “Flagstaff” edition is set to launch on Feb. 13 at $150. However, the “Aspen Corner” will remain a player-exclusive, available only to Booker.
“When they told me I was getting a shoe, I was like, ‘What’s a better way to tell stories?'” Booker explained. “Because, you know, I don’t really talk that much. So I’d rather just tell stories through different ways like that. And I think, each story having a shoe, people are finding the connections.”
The sneaker series highlights Booker’s affinity for Arizona’s natural landscapes, particularly during the offseason when he escapes the heat of the Valley. The “Aspen Corner” continues this narrative, blending personal storytelling with athletic performance.
