DeWanda Wise Addresses Fan Confusion: ‘Three Women’ Series Features Four Main Characters
The highly anticipated Starz series ‘Three Women,’ adapted from Lisa Taddeo‘s bestselling nonfiction book, has sparked some confusion among fans regarding its title. The show, which premiered on September 13, 2024, at 10 p.m. EST, features four main characters rather than the three suggested by its title.
Actress DeWanda Wise, who plays Sloane in the series, recently addressed this confusion. In an interview on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ Wise acknowledged that fans are upset about the discrepancy between the title and the number of main characters. She clarified that the show indeed revolves around four women: Gia, Lina, Sloane, and Maggie.
The series stars Shailene Woodley as Gia, a fictional version of author Lisa Taddeo, Betty Gilpin as Lina, Gabrielle Creevy as Maggie, and DeWanda Wise as Sloane. The narrative follows these women as they navigate love, desire, discovery, heartbreak, and personal growth during a cross-country journey.
Each new episode of ‘Three Women’ airs on Starz at 10 p.m. EST and is also available for streaming on the Starz app at midnight EST. The show has been noted for its later time slot due to its mature content, including several sex scenes that explore the characters’ sexual relationships and sexuality.
