Los Angeles Dodgers 2025 Season Highlights

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Los Angeles Dodgers are on a roll in the 2025 Postseason, with four wins in four games so far. The team swept the National League Wild Card Series, outscoring their opponent 18-5 over two games, and has secured victories in the first two games of the NL Division Series against the Philadelphia Phillies.

On Tuesday, FOX MLB Studio Analyst discussed the team’s versatility, stating, “I think the Dodgers are the complete package. It doesn’t matter if they’re going to beat you 1-0 or 10-1… they’re going to win. The Dodgers are that way. I don’t see anybody stopping them.” Their strong performance reflects an impressive regular season, where the Dodgers clinched the NL West for the 12th time in 13 years, finishing with a record of 93-69.

The Dodgers’ offense was one of the best in Major League Baseball, ranking second in runs (825), home runs (244), and slugging percentage (.441). Their on-base percentage held strong at .327. Meanwhile, their pitching staff led the league with a .222 opponent batting average and ranked fifth with a 3.69 ERA. However, there are concerns about the bullpen, which shared 20th place in ERA (4.27) and WHIP (1.33). In a nail-biting moment during Game 2 of the NLDS, the Dodgers held a three-run lead but allowed the go-ahead run to reach the plate before escaping with a 4-3 victory.

Historically, the Dodgers have their share of legacy, comparing them to the New York Yankees, who won three consecutive championships from 1998-2000. This season, the Dodgers showcased their talent with five All-Stars: designated hitter and starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani, catcher Will Smith, first baseman Freddie Freeman, and pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Julio Urías.

Dave Roberts, the Dodgers’ manager in his 10th season, was praised as the franchise’s “unsung hero,” with a regular-season record of 944-575 and a postseason record of 60-44. Under his leadership, the Dodgers won the World Series in 2020 and 2024, making Roberts’ 944 wins fourth in franchise history.

The Dodgers hope to close out the NL Division Series against the Phillies in Game 3, set for Wednesday night.
