Dodgers Brewers Nlcs 2025

MILWAUKEE — The Los Angeles Dodgers are showcasing remarkable pitching talent in the National League Championship Series against the Milwaukee Brewers, earning a 2-0 lead after two games.

In Game 2, Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw a complete game, leading his team to a 2-0 victory. This marks the first complete game in the postseason for the Dodgers in eight years, further solidifying their dominant pitching rotation, which has helped the team make a strong bid for another World Series title.

“It’s been incredible,” said Dodgers catcher Will Smith. “It’s probably the two best back-to-back games pitched ever, that I’ve seen. Just glad they’re on our side.” Yamamoto struck out 12 batters and allowed only three hits during the game. His performance was built on the foundation laid by Blake Snell, who also had an impressive outing in Game 1.

The Dodgers’ starters have maintained a minuscule 1.54 ERA in the postseason, with six of their seven playoff wins coming from starting pitchers. This success has allowed the bullpen to work only a single inning in the NLCS so far.

Despite a tough environment at American Family Field, the Dodgers executed their game plan effectively. “When you can have your most talented pitchers get the most outs, then you’re in a good spot,” manager Dave Roberts said.

The Brewers, who were expected to put up a fight, have struggled to find their rhythm. Manager Pat Murphy acknowledged that his players have been overmatched, stating, “We chased way more than we’ve chased all year. We’ve been the best in baseball at not chasing.”

As the series moves to Dodger Stadium, the Brewers will face an uphill battle to get back into contention. Game 3 will feature Tyler Glasnow starting for the Dodgers, who will look to maintain their dominance and push towards a deeper postseason run.

Roberts expressed confidence in his team’s preparation and ability. “Our entire team is playing the best baseball we’ve played all year,” he said. “The focus, the concentration level is at the highest.”

With high stakes in the NLCS, the next two games in Los Angeles could be crucial for both the Dodgers and Brewers’ postseason ambitions.
