Donald Trump Launches Controversial Watch Line on Newsmax
NEW YORK, NY — Former President Donald Trump has ventured from political rallies to television shopping with his new watch line, advertised on the right-wing network Newsmax. The ads showcase his ‘Fight Fight Fight’ collection, featuring Trump himself introducing the brand, saying, ‘Hello everyone, it’s President Donald J. Trump – and it’s Trump Time.’
Among the offerings is the Red Beauty diver watch, part of a series available on a dedicated shopping site. Prices range from $400 to a staggering $100,000 for the luxury Victory Tourbillon, which boasts 200 grams of gold, 122 diamonds, and a Swiss-made movement.
Additionally, Trump has introduced unique items such as a Mugshot Suit Collectible, which reportedly contains a piece of the navy suit he wore during his August 2023 Atlanta mugshot. This item is ‘authenticated’ by a sports-memorabilia company. The collection includes a variety of humorous and politically themed watches, including the $TRUMP Crypto President and the Inauguration Chronograph.
Women’s options feature the First Lady In Blush Rose, embedded with diamonds and pink quartz, which has already sold out. Fans can even design custom watches with personal engravings. Each watch carries the ’45-47′ insignia, a nod to Trump’s presidency.
Recently, the watch line has gained attention online, with critics noting many designs closely resemble high-end luxury watches. A menswear critic, Derek Guy, pointed out the similarities, while some commenters labeled the products as ‘AliExpress watches branded for Trump.’
The manufacturer of these watches, The Best Watches on Earth LLC, licenses Trump’s name and likeness under a paid agreement. Financial disclosures indicate Trump Watches generated $2.8 million in revenue, contributing to the former president’s extensive merchandising empire, which includes items like sneakers and cologne.
Despite criticisms, the watches seem to capture Trump’s brand identity, balancing between parody and commercialism. Trump’s ability to profit from controversy remains evident as his watch collection gains momentum in the marketplace.
