Ella Langley Tops 2025 ACM Awards Nominations with Eight Nods

NEW YORK (AP) — Ella Langley has emerged as the leading nominee for the 60th annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards, garnering eight nominations, including accolades for female artist of the year and female new artist. The nominations were revealed on Thursday, with the awards ceremony scheduled for May 8 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, hosted by Reba McEntire.
Six of Langley’s nominations are attributed to her breakout hit, “You Look Like You Love Me,” a collaboration with Riley Green, which is nominated for single of the year, song of the year both as an artist and songwriter, music event of the year, and visual media of the year as both an artist and director.
Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Morgan Wallen closely follow Langley with seven nominations each. Chris Stapleton has six nominations, while Riley Green and Post Malone have five each. The entertainers competing for the coveted entertainer of the year award include Wallen, Johnson, Wilson, Stapleton, and Kelsea Ballerini, among others.
If Luke Combs secures the entertainer of the year title, he will achieve the ACMs’ Triple Crown Award, recognizing wins in the categories of entertainer of the year, new artist, and artist. Last year, Wallen received six nominations, a notable change following his ineligibility in 2021 after using a racial slur. He earned four nominations in both 2022 and 2023.
In the album of the year category, nominees include Jelly Roll‘s “Beautifully Broken” and Zach Top‘s “Cold Beer & Country Music.” In the single of the year category, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” competes against Johnson’s “Dirt Cheap,” Malone and Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” Stapleton’s “White Horse,” and Langley and Green’s “You Look Like You Love Me.”
Alongside Langley, other first-time nominees consist of Gavin Adcock, Dasha, Jessie Murph, Muscadine Bloodline, Zach Top, The Red Clay Strays, Treaty Oak Revival, and Tucker Wetmore.
The 2025 ACM Awards will be available for streaming on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch Live, beginning May 8 at 8 p.m. EDT.
