LOS ANGELES, CA — Emma Hernan has opened up about her on-again, off-again romance with Blake Davis, a key storyline in season 9 of the hit Netflix series Selling Sunset. The show, which started in 2019, follows agents at the high-end real estate brokerage, the Oppenheim Group. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Emma expressed her frustrations with how her personal life was portrayed on the show. She mentioned, “He went and filmed and put himself out there as well, and they cut everything.” According to Emma, some scenes hinted at her romance without fully including the context, leading to confusion for viewers. “There’s a few scenes where I have a bite mark on my arm, and they try to play it like they don’t know who it is,” she added.

Emma revealed that she has always been private about her relationships, stating, “I want people to connect with me and I want people to see my real life and know what I’m doing. Then they cut my real life.” She acknowledged a particular incident in season 8 where her costar Nicole Young spread rumors about her personal life, which Emma denied before Nicole later apologized.

As filming for season 9 began, Emma was excited to show her romance with Blake. However, the relationship drew mixed reactions online, and the couple’s journey has seen ups and downs. Emma shared, “I’ve always been a private person when it comes to relationships,” noting that it was a challenge balancing her personal life with the demands of reality TV.

Emma noted Blake’s supportive nature but also his disappointment with how their story was edited. “He was very supportive of whatever I wanted… but ultimately, he was pretty disappointed with what they did to me,” she explained.
