First Lady Remi Tinubu Pays Condolence Visit to Saraki Family Ahead of Funeral

The First Lady, Mrs Remi Tinubu, offered her condolences to the Saraki family in Lagos as they prepare for the funeral of their matriarch, Mrs Florence Morenike Saraki. Mrs Tinubu’s visit, approved by President Bola Tinubu, aimed to convey the family’s love and support during this difficult time.

During the visit, Mrs Tinubu emphasized the unity of the political families involved, highlighting that beyond politics, President Tinubu always has the best interests of the Saraki family at heart. She acknowledged the life led by Mama Saraki and expressed gratitude for the positive impact she had during her time.

The First Lady also mentioned the unwavering support she received from Senator Bukola Saraki, particularly during their shared tenure in the upper legislative chamber. She offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and for strength for the family moving forward.

In response, Senator Bukola Saraki expressed his gratitude for the compassionate visit from Mrs Tinubu, praising her for her caring nature and ability to see the bigger picture in all situations. He acknowledged the support extended by the First Family and thanked them for their presence.

Prayers were offered in both Christian and Islamic traditions for the late Mrs Florence Morenike Saraki, as well as for President Tinubu and the nation as a whole. The gathering included the children of the deceased, such as Senator Bukola Saraki, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Mrs Tope Edu, and Laolu Saraki, along with members of the extended family.
