First Teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2 Released
NEW YORK CITY, NY — 20th Century Studios unveiled the first teaser for The Devil Wears Prada 2 on November 12, 2025. Nearly two decades after the original, the film sees Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway return to their iconic roles. The sequel is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
The teaser features Andy Sachs, played by Hathaway, stepping into an elevator after Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Streep. In a nod to their past dynamics, Miranda delivers the line, ‘Took you long enough.’ Despite the nostalgic trailer set to Madonna‘s ‘Vogue,’ it reveals little about the plot.
Following the success of the original 2006 film, the sequel aims to explore Priestly’s challenges amidst the decline of the print industry. The original story, based on Lauren Weisberger‘s novel, followed Andy as she navigated the demanding world of fashion journalism under Miranda’s tutelage.
The sequel brings back original cast members including Stanley Tucci and Emily Blunt. New faces include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, and Lady Gaga, who has been spotted on set.
David Frankel returns as director, alongside writer Aline Brosh McKenna. With high expectations from fans, the film promises to delve into the evolving perspectives of its characters against the backdrop of a changing industry.
The teaser has already generated excitement, hinting at a fresh narrative while retaining connections to the beloved original film.
