Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard to Keynote Constitution Celebration at Mar-a-Lago
Former Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard is set to headline the 917 Society’s annual fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump‘s private club in Palm Beach next month. The event will focus on celebrating the Constitution and is expected to draw significant attention.
The 917 Society’s event will feature Gabbard as the keynote speaker, following Trump’s recent acknowledgment that she is among those under consideration for a vice presidential pick in the upcoming elections. Dinner tickets for the event are priced at $1,250, as per the exclusive invitation shared with The Hill.
Gabbard, who retired from Congress in 2021 after representing Hawaii’s 2nd Congressional District, was known for her progressive stance during her time in office. However, towards the end of her tenure, she shifted towards a more right-leaning position, aligning with some Republican viewpoints while maintaining a Libertarian stance on foreign policy.
In 2022, Gabbard formally distanced herself from the Democratic Party, criticizing it as “elitist” and home to “warmongers.” Her evolving political perspectives have fueled speculation that she may seek a role in a potential second Trump administration.
