Wallowa County Freeze Warning Weather

WALLOWA COUNTY, Ore. — The National Weather Service issued a freeze warning early Sunday for Wallowa County. The warning will be in effect from midnight to 10 a.m. on Monday.

The weather service predicts sub-freezing temperatures, with lows dropping as low as 27 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to protect their plants and outdoor plumbing from the potential cold damage.

According to the service, frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and sensitive vegetation. Unprotected outdoor plumbing may also be at risk of damage. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold,” the weather service stated.

Wallowa County residents should prepare for the cold temperatures and secure their gardens and plumbing before the freeze hits.
