No Frills Renfrew Store Featured in National Super Bowl Commercial
Renfrew’s very own Chris and Tanya’s No Frills store took the spotlight during Super Bowl 58, with a nationally aired commercial showcasing their community initiatives. The store’s owners, Tanya and Chris Wojcik, were approached last fall to participate in the ad, which highlighted their seniors’ grocery bus program.
The filming day started bright and early at 2:15 a.m. and concluded by 11:30 a.m., capturing the essence of the local grocery store and its commitment to serving the community. Tanya Wojcik expressed excitement at the commercial’s completion and its prestigious airing during the Super Bowl, marking a significant moment for both the store and Renfrew at large.
One of the primary community initiatives featured in the commercial was the seniors’ grocery bus program, a collaborative effort between No Frills, Renfrew and Area Seniors’ Home Support, and Renfrew County Bus Lines. This monthly program offers seniors the convenience of being picked up at various locations, taken to the store for their shopping needs, and then safely returned to their initial stops, enhancing accessibility to groceries for the elderly.
