Greenfood Dagab Partnership

Demand for convenient, everyday solutions continues to grow, according to Swedish supplier Greenfood. The company intends to strengthen its partnership with Dagab, the purchasing and logistics arm of the Axfood group of retailers.

Effective from 16 January 2025, Greenfood will assume the role of primary supplier, providing larger volumes of fresh-cut products to Dagab. These products include processed fruits and vegetables, with offerings such as baby leaves in various mixes.

“Greenfood is one of northern Europe’s leading suppliers of sustainable and healthy food. The company has experienced significant growth in recent years and continues to see rising demand as more people adopt plant-based lifestyles centred around fruits and vegetables,” stated the company.

In 2023, Greenfood and Dagab signed a supplier agreement, and after 18 months of reliable deliveries and a successful partnership, the companies have decided to extend this agreement.

“We are now taking the next step in expanding our existing collaboration with more fresh-cut products,” said Björn Johansson, CEO of Greenfood Food Solutions. “The fresh produce section is a key profile area for grocery retailers who aim to promote healthy and sustainable eating habits. In this area, we offer a strong range, innovative products, and extensive expertise.”

According to the agreement, Greenfood will increase its supply of fresh-cut goods from 16 January 2025, with these products being distributed to Willys, Hemköp, and other stores in the Axfood group.

“Our goal is to offer Sweden’s most modern customer proposition on a daily basis,” said Daniel Månsson, category manager for fruit and vegetables at Dagab. “Through our partnership with Greenfood, we can provide more consumers with healthy shortcuts in the form of processed vegetables that make cooking easier.”
