LOS ANGELES, CA – HGTV announced on October 22, 2025, a significant expansion of its popular House Hunters franchise, renewing the series for 400 more episodes through 2026. This renewal comes as the franchise, which debuted 25 years ago, continues to attract over 13 million viewers every month.

The House Hunters series offers an interactive experience for its audience, allowing viewers to explore three different homes and evaluate their layouts and furnishings. The show’s popularity illustrates its effectiveness in guiding potential buyers toward their dream properties.

In addition to the renewal, HGTV is set to launch new shows, including Botched Homes, featuring Florida contractor Charlie Kawas. This series will focus on correcting poor renovations and is scheduled to premiere in 2026. Kawas and his team will aim to restore function and beauty to homes that have fallen into disrepair.

HGTV also ordered 16 episodes of Neighborhood Watch, a series that showcases surprising and sometimes entertaining moments caught by home surveillance cameras. This show will air in 2026, adding a unique twist to HGTV’s programming lineup.

Another upcoming series is World’s Bargain Dream Homes, where buyers will seek affordable yet stunning properties across the globe. This show, produced by Twenty Twenty Television, highlights the pursuit of affordable dream homes.

Drew and Jonathan Scott, well-known HGTV personalities, will star and executive produce a new series titled Property Brothers: Under Pressure. This 14-episode show will focus on helping buyers navigate the daunting process of purchasing their first homes.

“With this programming order, HGTV is delivering more of our tried-and-true formats that drive consistent ratings for the network, while also featuring new talent and concepts to engage our devoted fans and attract different audiences,” explained Howard Lee, chief creative officer of U.S. Networks at Warner Bros. Discovery, in a statement.

Both House Hunters and its spinoff, House Hunters International, are produced by Pie Town Productions and Leopard USA, respectively. The renewed enthusiasm for these series reflects HGTV’s commitment to real estate programming.
