Himachal Pradesh PWD Staff Honored for Outstanding Flood Rescue Operations
The Public Works and Urban Development Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh, recently commended the exceptional efforts of 31 engineers and field staff officers and employees for their remarkable contributions during the floods that struck the region last year. Singh, during a ceremony in Shimla, expressed gratitude towards these individuals for their dedication and quick response in restoring road connectivity amidst the devastating natural calamity.
Notable figures honored during the event included Anup Kumar Sharma from the Manali division, KL Suman from the Rampur government highways, Amit Sharma, Narendra Kumar, Vinayak Kashyap, Alok Janweja, Manish Thakur, Akhil Chauhan, Kanav Badotra, Bhim Singh Negi, DK Nag, and Bhavesh Chaturvedi, among others.
These engineers, along with various officers and employees, worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure that the road networks in the flood-affected areas were swiftly restored, aiding stranded individuals and communities. Their exemplary dedication and efficiency in executing these crucial tasks were praised by the cabinet minister, acknowledging their pivotal role in the disaster recovery efforts.
